Sally's Back!!!!!

The factory wars have started. Carla is unstoppable and went right to the source, George and the Council. Nick's day went from bad to worse, not helped by Natasha's going behind his back to start arranging for them to rent Dev's flat. I'm not sure who's more like a speeding train, a force to be reckoned with, Carla or a love struck Natasha. But in the cold morning after, the bees are still working in the hive for Nick, to get their pay cheques. They ought to be sewing flack jackets for themselves! In the meantime, Carla isn't wasting any time hiring builders either and Owen managed to undercut Bill and Jason. Well, really, Bill is about 70 and all he could promise was that he had friends he could call on. Owen has a full crew on salary ready to go.

Nick, in the meantime, can't stand up to Carla so he goes whining to Leanne, so that she'll call off the George-dogs. Stupid woman. She should just let him sink but she won't because Janice's job is on the line. So that's one point for Carla and one for Nick. But Carla gets back in with the client, Paul Stokes and manages to steer him away from another contract with Nick by undercutting the cost. Point scored. I love it when Carla wins, especially when Nick loses! And he most certainly had it coming!

While all this is going on, Nick is bragging up his business acumen in the pub and that's a sure sign of a big crash and burn! Natasha gets tired of Nick praising Leanne and decides to spill a few more beans about Leanne's prostitute past. I think that backfires on her big time. Nick didn't know and i really don't believe that his mother wouldn't have gleefully told him that little stick of gossip years ago. And if she didn't, Audrey or David surely would have! Her apology was pretty lame, too. Natasha tore a strip off him for going after Leanne and missing their viewing for the flat and then made the most pathetic apology to Leanne I've ever heard. If i'd been Nick i'd have given one right back to her and kicked her to the curb but nooooo. He's too bothered by business and she can't think of anything but herself and her obsession.

But the worst thing, the absolutely worst thing that Nick's done this week is ask Leanne what would have happened had they stayed together and had a baby. He *has* remembered that he made her get an abortion, hasn't he? It's definite. He's my most-hated character on the Street now. B@stard.

Mary is really getting bossy. She's bound and determined to have it all her way when it's not her wedding at all. Did you see that steam train out the window of the smaller room? Keep that in mind. Hayley is so mild but Mary's going to push her too far. Audrey is still keeping the secret about Lewis but her friend Claudia knows what he is and she figures Lewis is out to take her.

Happy Birthday, Deirdre. She's thinking botox. I'm thinking it's a long time too late for that. Ken was very nice to her though, about Blanche's old birthday card. Seems she shares her birthday with Simon but that cake she made, might have been a train by name but it looked like decorated crap. Literally. Lovely scene between Carla and Hayley, eh? Charlotte is still lurking around John, popping up when he least expects it. Cheryl's made a decision and has left Chris. He's not going to take that lying down.

Ciaran's making inroads with Michelle, little by little. I think seeing him in his boxers, having lost the bet, went a long way. Not just the sight (drool) but the fact that he actually did it! Graeme has said those three little words to Tina and since he surprised her, she didn't say it back and then she did. Maybe Norris interfered there after all. So why is Graeme now thinking he should break up with her? Doh.

The Adoption Wars continue, as well. Eddie and Anna mind her nephew but Eddie lets Steve and Becky think that the little one is from the Social. They should know better. Nobody would get approved for adoption or fostering after this short time. It's only served to have the cutie pie mess up the sofa so that Eddie can go to John for one since they all think that's where John works. John actually had used a real furniture store, too and checked out their website. John had some scrambling to do. And how on earth could John pose as a sales person when he isn't even supposed to be that, he's working in the office? Of course he gets caught by a real sales person but he's so cheeky the actually gets away with it *and* sells the Windasses a more expensive sofa than they had planned. Meanwhile, there's an angry wronged husband after John who he thinks is Colin, who's slept with his missus. Now is his missus Charlotte or someone else? And he can't be too bright. Would you act aggressively towards a kid with a dog almost as high as he is?

Lewis managed to get a good look at the cash workings behind the counter at the bookies. I think he's buttering up Deirdre so he can steal from it. Is he really working at the casino or was that just a cover story? If he's really given up escorting, he'll be running short of cash. It's pretty clear he's up to something. Telling Deirdre she looks radiant is blatantly obviously a lie. (unless it's that Spanish Tan that Anne Kirkbride is usually sporting these days). Claudia, one of his ex-clients has turned out, too, and Audrey isn't happy about it. Claudia is shocked that Lewis and Audrey are an item. Jealous, maybe? Or just unbelieving.
